Coach Liam Byrnes brings top-level playing experience and a genuine love for teaching the game to our program. A former standout defender at Marquette University, Liam was a team captain, Big East Defensive Player of the Year, and helped lead Marquette to its first NCAA Tournament appearance.
After college, he played professionally in the Premier Lacrosse League (PLL), winning a championship with the Waterdogs LC, and competed in the National Lacrosse League (NLL) with teams including the Georgia Swarm. He also captured a gold medal for Team USA in 2023 as a starting defenseman.
As a coach, Liam focuses on building strong fundamentals, confidence, and a positive team mindset. He is passionate about helping young players grow, work hard, and enjoy the game while learning what it means to be a great teammate on and off the field.
