Coach Jim Buczek brings a passion for teaching, leadership, and player development that spans more than three decades in the game of lacrosse. A former standout midfielder at the University of North Carolina, Coach Buczek helped lead UNC to four ACC Championships and a National Championship, earning All-American honors and recognition as one of the top midfielders in the country. His experience at the highest level of the sport gives young players a unique opportunity to learn the game the right way.
After his playing career, Coach Buczek dedicated himself to coaching and mentoring athletes, serving on the coaching staffs at both UNC and Princeton before becoming Head Varsity Coach at The Lovett School in 2005. Since then, he has built one of Georgia’s most respected high school programs, winning multiple state championships, developing dozens of All-Americans, and helping countless players grow in confidence, skill, and character. His impact on lacrosse has been recognized with his induction into the Georgia Lacrosse Hall of Fame.
