Township of Langley, BC, Sunday, September 11, 2011:  The Langley Thunder will have their backs against the wall when they hit the turf at the Langley Events Centre Monday night at 7:45PM after losing Game 4 tonight to Brampton by a score of 5-4.  After a scoreless first in which both Brodie MacDonald (Langley) and Anthony Cosmo (Brampton) showed why they are two of the best goalies in lacrosse today, the Thunder stormed out to a two goal lead midway through the second on a goal from Athan Iannucci that could down as the best of the 2011 lacrosse season.  Looking to get the Thunder going, Iannucci barrelled into the Excelsiors zone and manhandled multiple Brampton defenders before putting it by Cosmo.

Mike Grimes added a second goal on a solo effort just three minutes later to put Langley up 2-0.  As has been the case the last two games, Brampton had an answer with Dan Dawson getting on the board to bring his club within one.  Not three minutes later Iannucci dazzled the crowd yet again with a one handed goal to once again put Langley up by two.  Jarrett Davis would put Brampton back within one just a minute before the second period came to a close.

In the third, Langley got on the board quickly again as Kyle Belton notched the Thunder’s fourth goal of the night and restored their two goal lead.  It was not to be though for the home team as Brampton scored three goals in four minutes from Joe Walters, Sandy Chapman and Mike Hominuk to go up 5-4, a lead they would not relinquish.
